INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON "BIOLOGICAL DIVERSITY"

On May 21, 2022, the National Center for Biological Diversity of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan organized an International Conference on Biodiversity, which was held at the Hilton Hotel in Dushanbe. The event was attended by various public and governmental organizations involved in the protection and conservation of biological diversity. At the conference, representatives of the NGO "Innovations and Participation for Development" that was established by the National Center for Biological Diversity of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, presented the achievements of the project on "Biodiversity and ecosystem services in agricultural landscapes." Then the Vice-President of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan - Saidov Abdusattor spoke on the biological diversity of the fauna of Tajikistan, noting that Biological Diversity should be studied in universities, colleges and high schools. In addition, other scientists, professors, representatives of NGOs, including a representative of the NGO Ganji Tabiat, spoke on biodiversity issues and their contribution to its conservation.
